Egan J. Gost
Mergers, Acquisitions, & Divestitures Manager
Investor and Public Relations Director

Mr. Gost is responsible for investments, mergers, acquisitions, & divestitures as well as investor and public relations for Tri-Valley Corporation.  He oversees marketing and risk management, and he is researching new ways to supply heating and electricity to Tri-Valley’s oil and gas production facilities through the use of solar and wind power.  Mr. Gost has approximately 10 years of operations experience in the fields of law, finance, sales & acquisitions, marketing, and human resources. His key strengths are in the areas of financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, communications, negotiating, deal structuring, contracts, and conflict-resolution. Mr. Gost has a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, a B.S. in Business from Fresno State, and he has completed coursework in the Executive Education program at the Wharton School of Business. He is a licensed financial advisor (Series 7, 63, 65, and 31), he possesses a State of California Real Estate license and a State of California Insurance license.  It should be noted that Mr. Gost is solely responsible for the creation and maintenance of Tri-Valley’s current website.  

Helen Ordway
Manager of Environmental, Safety, and Health

Mrs. Ordway is responsible for environmental permitting and compliance, as well as safety permitting and compliance. Prior to working at Tri-Valley, Helen compiled 21 years of experience at Chevron Companies, with 6 years in chemical manufacturing and 15 years in production (offshore and onshore). She started her career at Procter & Gamble doing industrial foods research and process development. She is board certified with MLT ASCP (Medical Laboratory technician American Society of Clinical Pathologists), CSP (Certified Safety Professional, Board of Certified Safety professionals), and CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers). She is non-board certified with REA (Registered Environmental Assessor, State of California Department of Toxic Substances). Mrs. Ordway has an AAS degree in Medical Technology from State University of New York, Corning, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

 

Gary Borgna
General Manager, Great Valley Drilling Company LLC

Mr. Borgna is responsible for managing the drilling operations and for buying, selling, and overseeing the maintenance of equipment for Tri-Valley’s drilling subsidiary: Great Valley Drilling Company LLC based in Fallon, Nevada. He seeks out, negotiates, and structures contracts with existing and new customers, as well as overseeing all Nevada personnel. Mr. Borgna has 45 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a specialty in geothermal drilling. He started his career as a tool pusher, foreman, and rig builder, and progressed to being a consultant and eventually owned his own business. Prior to Tri-Valley, he worked for Hunnicutt & Camp Drilling, served as a consultant for Binkeroff Signal, and owned and operated his own trucking, rigging, and crane service company.

 

 

 

Michael Cain
General Manager, Great Valley Production Services

Mr. Cain is responsible for managing all rig equipment, operations, personnel, and stewarding the day to day steam generator and downhole tools equipment inventory, logistics, refurbishment, and QA/QC programs, and working in concert with Tri-Valley Oil & Gas personnel to meet various asset development needs.  Mike brings over 36 years of industry experience primarily focused on workover, rig, and downhole operations in both domestic and international venues, including drilling contractors, major oil companies, and the service sector.  Mike’s domestic experience includes California (onshore & offshore), Texas, the Gulf Coast, and Alaska's North Slope.  His international experience includes Syria, Indonesia, and China.  In addition, Mike brings a strong technology skill base to Great Valley with particular emphasis on state of the art downhole tools, expandable tubular technology and applications, and extended reach and horizontal drilling.  Mike has sound, proven field management and leadership skills which will highly benefit the organization as we build our field infrastructure and organization to meet our growth mode needs.  Mike has a strong track record of facilitating continuous performance improvement and leading positive change in various organizations.
