F. Lynn Blystone
CEO and President of Tri-Valley Corporation and CEO of its subsidiaries.

A director since 1974, Mr. Blystone assumed the role of Tri-Valley Corporation President in October 1981. His background includes institution management, venture capital and various management functions for a mainline pipeline contractor, including the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Project. He has founded, managed and sold companies in several fields including Learjet charter, commercial construction, municipal finance and land development. He is also president of a family corporation, Bandera Land Company, Inc., with real estate interests in Orange County, California. Mr. Blystone is a graduate of Whittier College, California, and did graduate work at George Williams College, Illinois, in organization management.

 

Art Evans
Chief Financial Officer

Art Evans has a full range of accounting and financial management experience in several industries including oil, gas, and mining, and with Fortune 500 companies as well as independents like Tri-Valley. Art was also division controller for Getty Oil Company. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Golden State University, Los Angeles and a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His professional designations include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager. Art is also experienced in acquisitions and divestitures, both of which Tri-Valley is becoming more active in pursuing. He is current with the Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations for publicly traded companies such as Tri-Valley, and has venture capital investing and capital formation experience.

 

Joseph R. Kandle
CEO and President of Tri-Valley Oil & Gas Co. (TVOG), Great Valley Production Services, Inc. (GVPS), and Great Valley Drilling Company LLC (GVDC).

Mr. Kandle joined Tri-Valley Oil & Gas in June 1998 as Vice President - Engineering and was named as its President in February 1999. Mr. Kandle is a 1965 graduate of the Montana School of Mines where he received a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering. Mr. Kandle has over 40 years of experience in drilling, production, and operations, commencing his professional career with Mobil in 1965 where he specialized in deep drilling. After his time with Mobil, Mr. Kandle held positions of V.P. & Chief Engineer of Great Basins Petroleum, V.P. Engineering with Star Resources and V.P.- Engineering with Atlantic Oil Company.



 

Robert A. (Bob) Bell
Senior Vice-President, Great Valley Production Services (GVPS) and Vice-President of Operations, Tri-Valley Oil & Gas (TVOG). 

Mr. Bell joined Tri-Valley in late June 2007, and serves in a dual executive role spanning TVOG and GVPS. Mr. Bell leads our oil and gas assets exploitation operations, our engineering & field management personnel, and all company-owned rig and shop/yard operations and personnel.  Robert has over 26 years of domestic and international experience in engineering and management that includes both major and independent oil & gas companies as well as the service sector.  He most recently served as V.P. of Exploitation and V.P. of Operations for other California-based independents. Mr. Bell has field development experience ranging from large-scale world class projects to marginal/mature oil and gas developments, which includes the full E&P spectrum spanning light and heavy oil to mature, gas production, and from exploration conceptual engineering to full field development and tertiary recovery. His domestic experience includes the areas of  California, Alaska, the Rockies, Texas (E/SE/S), and the Gulf Coast/Gulf of Mexico.  His international residence experience includes Perth, Australia and  Quito, Ecuador.  Robert has extensive training in French and Spanish languages, and has co-authored several industry papers on state-of-the-art operations technology.  He is a Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering graduate of Penn State University, and is a member of SPE and AADE.

 

James G. Bush
Vice-President of Exploration, Tri-Valley Oil & Gas Co. (TVOG).

Mr. Bush brings a wide range of experience with over 30 years in the natural resource industry (oil, gas, and minerals), the consulting business, and in heavy industry.  Prior to Tri-Valley, Jim spent 10 years with the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and the previous 10 years with ICF Kaiser Engineers.  Prior to that, he worked for Atlantic Richfield (on and off-shore Alaska and Texas), Aspen Exploration, and the Anaconda Copper Co.  His areas of expertise include oil and gas exploration and drilling, uranium exploration and drilling, and metals exploration, with particular expertise in gold placer exploration and mining (he was the finding geologist for Alaska’s recent Valdez Creek gold mine).  Jim received his Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from Ohio State University and his Masters of Science from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.  Jim is certified by the American Institute of Professional Geologists (No. 7715), and is a registered geologist in the States of Alaska (License No. A 220) and Washington (License No. 1405).  It should be noted that Jim also served three years in the U.S. Navy Seabees.
